Forest owners · Forest management
Service for woodland and forest property owners in Castile and León: planning, technical instruments, administrative procedures and sustainable management actions.
Regional technical service
Castile and León updated its forest planning framework in 2025; in Ávila, ordered management helps coordinate uses, prevention and conservation.
The new framework combines forest planning documents with more standardised routes such as adherence to Silvicultural Technical References where requirements are met.
Adherence to a Silvicultural Technical Reference targets low-management forests and cannot cover more than 100 ha; more complex cases may require planning documents.
Regional administrative process
Planning documents are processed by the Forest Management Service and resolved by the Directorate-General for Natural Heritage and Forest Policy.
