    Desert Leaves wants to link the academic world with enterprises, public authorities, NGOs and people that engage in afforestation projects in drylands, worldwide.

    Our activities are focused on:

    • Consolidate knowledge related to forestation and forest preservation in drylands

    • Scientific fields: soil sciences, botany, hydraulics, geography, engineering, climatology and social sciences

    • Case studies,to learn from both successful and failed projects

    • Economics: CO2 credit systems as possible income, water and operational costs

    • Support scientists and organizations in the development of their work through scholarships, seminars, stays in universities, field work

    • Dissemination of knowledge through symposia, congresses, online media, publications and press releases

    • Create a global network of experts and people interested in afforestation and forest preservation of drylands
